Youth Take Action!

The youth staff here at the Young Women’s Project have been working around the clock the past week for the Youth Transition Center (YTC). 
 
Here’s a sneak peak at some of the things we’ve been doing  Sarah, De’Angelo, Ravon, and Thomas all developed their testimonies to deliver to council members this week telling why the YTC is important to them and what kind of
 
impact it will have on youth in the DC area. Sarah also posted flyers at school and on the metro. Daniel, Nina and others have been sending out Facebook messages, rallying their friends to support this incredible cause! Sharita and Antoine have been making phone calls – including one to Marian Barry for his support! Antoine also arranged a personal meeting with councilman Tommy Wells. All of our youth staff are putting forth extraordinary effort to get the word out in DC about this Center and we are going to make sure these voices are heard!
