PHASE Teen Staff Bios

 

 
Bryerra Moore, also known as Bree, attends Calvin Coolidge Senior High School. She is in the 12th grade and will be graduating this year. Bree has been working with the Young Women’s Project (YWP) for about 3 years and has been with the Peer Health and Sexual Education (PHASE) program for 2 years. She also participated in Teen Women in Action (TWA). In PHASE she participates in the condom availability campaign at multiple DC public schools. Bree believes that being in YWP has made her a better person and the information she has learned is very helpful and useful when it comes to Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships, Pregnancy, Self Care, Female and Male Anatomy, etc. She loves inspiring others and is actually able to educated others on what she knows.
 
After graduating, Bree plans to attend Virginia State University to study Sociology to become a social worker. She also plans to continue her work as a trainer/advocate in college as well as being involved with her school's student government, join a sorority, and dance.
In her spare time Bree likes to hang out with her friends and family. She also likes to sing, dance, act and model. She also really hopes to be a great mother and be able to provide for her daughter, herself and her family.
 
Charnisa Royster attendws Calvin Coolidge Senior High School. She is in the 12th grade, and will be graduating this year. She has been a part of the Young Women’s Project (TWP) for a 2 years now and has participates in the PHASE’s Condom Availability Campaign, making sure that every teen knows that there are condoms available no matter how old you. This summer she researched the teen friendly clinics and all the clinics that were available to teens. She is passionate to also teach people her knowledge on Sexual Health and every thing else that she has been trained on. Charnisa also feels that it is her responsibility make sure the DC rates of HIV, STI’S and Teen Pregnancy are lowered.
 
After graduation, she plans on attending Clark-Atlanta University and majoring in Public Health and Social Work. She plans on promoting and trying to establish many different chapters of  the Young Women's Project to help future teens with their reproductive health rights. She likes spending time with her friends and eating Chipotle. In the future she sees herself as a mortician and owning her own funeral home or becoming an ultrasound technician.
