Peer Health and Sexuality Education

PHASE aims to educate, advocate for, and empower teens in DC through comprehensive sexuality education.  Peer educators lead trainings at DC public high schools and local community organizations. PHASE workshops cover topics mandated by the DC Municipal Regulations. Peer educators use discussion, games, interactive training, and individual action planning.

PHASE staff come from Wilson, Cardozo and Anacostia High Schools and are trained each summer in facilitation, reproductive health, peer support and referrals, reproductive justice, organizing, and advocacy. All work is led by teens with ongoing guidance and support from adult staff.
