Ijeoma
Anyanwu is a 16-year-old senior at Woodrow Wilson Senior High School. She enjoys
playing tennis and basketball, eating, sleeping, dancing, watching movies, and
hanging out with friends. Ijeoma’s future plans are to attend college (Temple
University or Lafayette) and go into the medical field.
Jalisa
Banks is a 15-year-old junior at Cardozo. She likes shopping, doing hair,
talking on the phone, and being outside. In the future she would like to do hair
and something in the fashion industry. Jalisa loves anything to do with fashion.
Ginny
Boyles is a 16-year-old junior at Wilson Senior High School. She enjoys writing,
singing, acting, not being able to dance, movies with happy endings, praise,
jazz music, color-coordinating things at YWP, and making paper clip animals. She
aspires to attend medical school and become either a physiatrist or an
oncologist. She is passionate about animal rights, and hopes to use her medical
degree to find alternatives to animal testing.
Mic-eal
Harper attends Cardozo SHS. She is 16-years-old. Her interests are being with
her boyfriend and going shopping. Her favorite tv shows are America's Next Top
Model and American Idol. Her favorite movie is Love and Basketball. Her future
goals are going to college and finishing high school in 2007. When she grows up
she'd like to be a mentor helping others.
Kiara
Jefferson is a sophomore at Wilson Senior High School. She enjoys being with her
family, listening to music, and going on adventures. She wants to attend George
Mason University, and afterwards become a social worker.
Jelisa
Jennings attends Cardozo SHS. She is 16 years old and in the 10th
grade. She enjoys going out and spending time with friends and chillin’ at
home. In the future she wishes to go to college to become a child psychologist.
Isshai
Kamara is a 16-year-old junior at Wilson Senior High School. She enjoys working
at PHASE and teaching her peers about comprehensive sex ed because she is an
expert in most areas. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, electronics, and
spending time with friends.
Lena
Solow is a junior at Wilson Senior High School. She tap dances with Tappers with
Attitude, a pre-professional youth tap ensemble and also takes African dance
classes. She enjoys cooking, speaking French, and is thinking about becoming a
teacher in the future.
Wenda
Thompson is a rising junior at Wilson Senior High. She likes to read, hang out
with her friends, sing, listen to music, and talk to people. She is not sure
what she wants to be yet because she has so many different options open. Wenda
is originally from Guyana in South America.
