My name is Shannon Mack and I was born and raised in DC. I recently aged out of foster care in 2014 and I am now 22. My experience in foster care was very challenging and unfortunately still impacts my life. However, working at the Young Women’s Project has provided me with the tools to create a better life for myself. During my free time, I love to listen to music and sing. Though I am not the best of singers, music gives me joy and puts a smile on my face.
